WB approves $149.7 million for two projects in Pakistan

Washington DC: The World Bank approved 149.7 million dollars for two projects including financing for digital economy and flood protection in Pakistan.
78 million dollars have been allocated for Digital Economy Enhancement Project. The support of the digital economy is critical to economic and social development.
The project will improve economic efficiency through digitization of government institutions. The financial system will be improved through technology and data-based decision making.
71.7 million dollars have been allocated for the improvement project of barrages of Sindh.
The World Bank says that the project will increase the resilience of the canal system, reducing the negative effects of floods and droughts.
