Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday increased electricity price by Rs 4.92 per unit.

The adjustment, attributed to rising fuel costs in February, comes as a blow to consumers already grappling with inflation.

 However, NEPRA clarified that this hike will not impact lifeline and K-Electric consumers.

 The new rates are expected to reflect in consumers' April bills. The move prompted  concerns among households and businesses alike.
