Lahore: Renowned writer Anwar Maqsood has expressed the interesting reason behind Pakistan's defeat to America in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup.
Talking about Pakistan's defeat in their first match against America in the T20 World Cup, Anwar Maqsood said in the video that Pakistan lost the match to America out of need because it is yet to get a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Anwar Maqsood said that the condition of defeat in the match may have been set that first they lose the match to the US and then they will give the loan, otherwise, he does not understand any other reason for Pakistan's defeat.
Regarding the match between Pakistan and India on June 9, he said that Pakistanis who have bought tickets now will sell their tickets at half price.
It is pertinent to note that in the T20 World Cup, the USA caused a big upset by defeating Pakistan in the Super Over and achieved the second consecutive success in the event.
US had given Pakistan a target of 19 runs to win in the Super Over and the national team could only score 13 runs.
