Bangladesh set 160-run target for Netherlands in T20 World Cup
Kingstown (AFP): Bangladesh secured victory over Netherlands by restricting the batters to 134/8 in the 27th match of the T20 World Cup being played at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown.
The Netherlands didn’t have the best start as they lost both of their openers Michael Levitt (18 off 16) and Max O’Dowd (12 off 16) walked back to the pavilion leaving their side 32-2 in 5.4 overs.
Earlier, Bangladesh scored 159 for five and set a 160-run target for the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup clash.
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and opted to bowl first in their T20 World Cup Group C match against Bangladesh in Kingstown on Thursday.
Both sides are pressing to join South Africa in the Super 8 having already won one of their two previous group matches.
Off-spinner Aryan Dutt was drafted into the Dutch side in place of Teja Nidamanuru while Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto named the same team that lost to South Africa by four runs in their last outing.
