Lahore: Gary Kirsten, the head coach of the national cricket team, severely criticized the national team and said that the Pakistani cricket team is not a team, no one has a sense of responsibility and there is no unity in the team.
Various domestic and foreign media had expressed suspicions of disunity in the team due to the poor performance of the national team, which was confirmed by Gary Kirsten.
In the meeting with Babar's XI, who had a hard-fought victory over Ireland in the last-round match, the head coach looked dejected at the team's failure in every department.

Talking about the fitness level of the players, the head coach stated that the fitness level of the team is also zero. They cannot compete with the world, if they want to, they have to increase fitness level and skills.
Gary Kirsten, referring to the differences between the senior players, stated that since joining the team, ‘I have not seen the team united, this unity was not visible on the field and there was no glimpse of it even in the dressing room’.
According to the head coach, “I have never seen such a situation as a coach,” he warned the players that if they do not become a team and focus on their fitness and skills, they will not be part of the team.
It is pertinent to note that the Green Shirts coached by Gary Kirsten had a disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup and the team failed to reach the Super-VIII stage.
