The operation signifies a national commitment to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country


Islamabad: A meeting of the Apex Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, has resulted in the approval of the “Azm-e-Istahkam Operation” to combat terrorism.
According to a statement issued by the Apex Committee, the launch of Operation Azm-e-Istahkam was approved after achieving consensus among all stakeholders including the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
The operation signifies a national commitment to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country.
The statement also highlighted that the Apex Committee reviewed the security measures for Chinese nationals residing in Pakistan. Following the Prime Minister's approval, new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been issued to ensure foolproof security for Chinese nationals.
The new SOPs have been dispatched to the relevant authorities and will establish comprehensive security protocols for the protection of Chinese citizens.
The operation aims to bolster national stability and reflects the government's resolve to maintain security and order in the face of ongoing threats.
