Peri-urban housing scheme being introduced for low-income groups in Punjab: Bakht
Lahore: The Punjab government will introduce peri-urban housing scheme for low-income groups to have their housing properties throughout the province in the next fiscal year 2021-22, provincial finance minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht told the budget session.

“A new house will be available in Rs1.4 million approximately. An amount of Rs3 billion has been earmarked under infrastructure development head in this regard,” the minister said.
“To own a house is everybody’s dream and people with low incomes struggle their entire life to buy a residence,” Bakht said and added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government is making all-out efforts to resolve the housing problem of poor families.
He further said the government would construct 35,000 apartments under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, adding Rs1 billion have already been released in this regard.
