Barrister Ali stated that there is no such law that the government can ban a party if it does not like it
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Ali Zafar Monday said that there is no scope for ban in the law and if they do this, the courts are there, we will not allow the government's decision to be implemented.
Speaking to a private news channel, Barrister Ali stated that there is no such law that the government can ban a party if it does not like it, and if any political party works in collaboration with an enemy country, it has to take permission from the Supreme Court to ban it. The decisions to ban political parties have always been made by dictators and not by any democratic government.
The PTI leader added that those who talked about Article VI, may not have read the law. Article VI cannot be a case. Even the law made in the Parliament is said by the Judiciary to be against the Constitution. Will Article VI apply to these members?
He further said that after the government said such thing after they suffered a setback in the case of reserved seats. The decision of the Supreme Court will not change and now the government has brought another case of Tosha Khana. All the cases against PTI founder will be ended.
