Nepra hikes power tariff by Rs5.76 per unit for Karachiites
Electricity tariff has been raised under fuel adjustment for May and June
Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday jacked up the electricity price for the people of Karachi by Rs5.76 per unit under fuel adjustment for two months.
Per a notification issued by Nepra, the price of electricity has increased by Rs5.76 per unit for the May and June adjustments for K-Electric.
According to the authority, the price of electricity has increased by Rs2.59 per unit in May's adjustment and by Rs3.17 per unit in June's adjustment.
The notification further states that the May increment will be collected in October and the June increment in November.
