Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday stated that the partial lockdown coupled with comprehensive data analysis helped Pakistan to keep coronavirus outbreak under control.

In an interview with a US TV HBO Axios, the Premier said there were more than 70 percent informal economy workers and daily wagers and the government could not made the decision to force a complete clamp down in the country.
Imran further said National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) performed actively and coordinated with all institutions for implementation of coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prime Ministers’ office on its official twitter handle shared the exclusive interview. In the clip of 2 minute and 32 seconds, Imran Khan can be seen explaining the strategies that Pakistan took to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s registered death toll from coronavirus infections rose towards 22,000, but some data suggested the spread of the disease has been contained.
According to NCOC, around 1,050 cases of coronavirus were reported while 30 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 22,007.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 949,175. As many as 893,148 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,238 critical cases
