With a depth of 104 kilometers, quake had its epicenter in the Hindu Kush mountain range

Swat: A 5.5 magnitude earthquake trembled several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday, causing widespread alarm as residents came out of their homes in fear.
The Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake, with a depth of 104 kilometers, had its epicenter in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
The quake affected areas including Swat, Lower Dir, and nearby districts, where residents experienced noticeable ground movement.
Despite the quake's intensity, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage in the capital or surrounding regions. In response to the tremors, many people took to the streets in panic, reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
Authorities have confirmed that, as of now, no significant loss of life or damage to property has been recorded.
