Maryam to not compromise on transparency, quality of welfare projects
Rs83 billion out of the allocated Rs278 billion for development schemes have been released
Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that she will not compromise on the transparency and quality of public welfare projects.
A seven-hour-long meeting on planning and development was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam, in which the progress on 77 initiatives, 70 projects and seven programs was reviewed.
Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb briefed the Chief Minister that 28 meetings of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) were held and 287 schemes for public welfare were considered in Punjab.
Marriyum Aurangzeb briefed that the development in various sectors including agriculture, meteorology and IT was reviewed in detail. Rs83 billion out of the allocated Rs278 billion for development schemes have been released.
The briefing also mentioned that monitoring with advanced technology, drones, and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping is being introduced, and progress on projects will be ensured with clear timelines.
Addressing the meeting on this occasion, Maryam Nawaz added that she will not compromise on the transparency of projects for the welfare of the people. There will also be no compromise on the speed and quality of the implementation of the projects.
