Pakistan's economy moving in right direction: IMF
Govt of Pakistan is taxing the rich and helping the poor, IMF MD said
Washington: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said that Pakistan's economy is going in the right direction.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina congratulated the government and the people of Pakistan on the approval of the loan program and that the government of Pakistan is helping the poor by taking taxes from the rich.
Christina Georgieva further said in the statement that the economy of Pakistan is going in the right direction. The government of Pakistan is taxing the rich and helping the poor while economic growth is increasing.
Inflation is decreasing in Pakistan. Pakistan has made reforms due to which the economy has improved, she added.
It is pertinent to note that IMF has approved a $7 billion loan programme for Pakistan. The approval came at the meeting of the executive board of the global lender.
