BRICS summit to begin today, 32 countries participating
Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS), Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, and Ethiopia have also joined this organisation
Moscow: The BRICS organisation is starting today in Russia's semi-autonomous region of Tatarstan, in which delegations from 32 countries will participate in addition to the member countries.
The title of the meeting held in Kazan city has been declared to be equal development and strengthening of security at the global level. The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, will also participate in this meeting held in two periods.
At the BRICS meeting, an important strategic partnership agreement with Iran will be signed, while the status of Saudi Arabia will also be clarified.
The first round of the BRICS meeting will be held today and tomorrow, in which the heads of the member countries of the organization and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, will participate.

38 countries have been invited to participate in the second round of the meeting, out of which 32 countries have assured to send delegations.
Three dozen countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Malaysia, Syria, Belarus, and Thailand, have expressed their desire to become members of this organization, while many have submitted formal applications.
The combined GDP of BRICS member countries is 60 trillion dollars, which is 37.5 percent of the world's GDP.
