Lahore ATC indicts Shah Mahmood Qureshi, 20 others in May 9 riot case
ATC saw progress in all 14 cases related to the incident of May 9
Lahore: Former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and 20 other individuals were indicted by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in a case in connection with the planning of the May 9 riots on Monday.
The judge presided over the court session at Lahore's Kot Lakhpat Jail and addressed charges linked to alleged planning and incitement to violence at the Race Course police station.
The judge formally charged Qureshi, Ejaz Chaudhry and former Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema, along with 18 others, in the case.
Following the indictment, the ATC ordered that witnesses appear at the next hearing.
Earlier today, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court saw progress in all 14 cases related to the incident of May 9.
