Trump, Biden take credit for Gaza ceasefire agreement

Washington: Newly elected US President Donald Trump has said that the Gaza ceasefire agreement will restore peace in the region. The ceasefire agreement is the result of our historic success. It is the first step towards peace in the Middle East.

Addressing a rally in Washington, newly elected US President Donald Trump stated that he is happy that the hostages have been released. The incoming US administration achieved this success in less than three months. Biden could not do in four years what was done before I took office.

He added that Iran no longer has money for Hezbollah or Hamas. The Gaza agreement was reached because of his designated envoy for the Middle East. The ceasefire agreement will establish lasting peace in the region.

Donald Trump further said, ‘We won the election with a large majority. We are going to make America great again. We will restore peace and order and work with historic speed and strength. We will make America stronger than before. We will stop the influx of illegal immigrants and secure the border’.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden said that the guns fell silent in Gaza today.

US President Joe Biden stated that hundreds of aid trucks are entering Gaza to help civilians. The ceasefire in Gaza is part of the agreement that he proposed in May. The ceasefire agreement was fruitful due to his effective policy.

Joe Biden added that American citizens are also among the prisoners released from Gaza. In the next phase of the agreement, Israeli soldiers will be among the hostages. The second phase of the Gaza agreement will ensure the removal of Hamas from power.

The US President further said that the implementation of the Gaza agreement now depends on the Trump administration.
