It is expected that third flight carrying 157 individuals will arrive in India today
(Web Desk): Just two days after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, the United States deported an additional 116 Indians, sending them back to India.
According to foreign media, another flight carrying 116 Indians landed at Amritsar airport, marking the second such flight in 10 days as part of Donald Trump's administration’s crackdown on illegal immigrants and its decision to deport them.
The first phase of deporting Indian citizens from the United States took place on February 5, when a US military aircraft brought 104 Indians to Amritsar. It is expected that a third flight carrying 157 individuals will arrive in India today.
On Saturday night at 11:40 PM, a US Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft landed at Amritsar International Airport.
Among the deported individuals, 65 were from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, 8 from Gujarat, 2 from Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
