Electricity per unit has been reduced by Rs1.15 for all categories of non-protected consumers


Karachi: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced the basic electricity tariff from July 1.
According to the details, NEPRA held a hearing on a uniform basic tariff for the entire country yesterday at the request of the federal government.
NEPRA officials said that after the hearing, electricity has been reduced by Rs1.15 per unit for all consumers, including K-Electric, except lifeline consumers.
According to NEPRA, the tariff for lifeline consumers up to 50 units per month remains at Rs3.95 per unit, and for lifeline consumers using 100 units per month remains at Rs7.74 per unit.
NEPRA has said that the tariff for a protected consumer using 100 units per month has been reduced by Rs 1.15, set at Rs10.54, while the tariff for a protected consumer using 200 units per month has been set at Rs13.1.
According to NEPRA, the electricity per unit has also been reduced by Rs1.15 for all categories of non-protected consumers.
According to NEPRA, the basic electricity tariff for commercial consumers has been reduced by Rs1.15, setting the new average basic tariff at Rs45.43 per unit.
In addition, the electricity per unit for general services has been reduced by Rs1.15, and the new tariff has been set at Rs43.17 per unit. For industries, the new tariff has been reduced by Rs1.15, and the new tariff has been set at Rs33.48 per unit.
According to NEPRA, the new basic tariff for bulk electricity consumers has been reduced by Rs1.15 per unit, setting the new basic tariff at Rs41.76, while the basic rate for agricultural consumers has been reduced by Rs1.15 per unit, setting the basic rate at Rs30.75.
