Blasphemy case: Court orders legal action against Rajab Butt
Petition was filed in the court in July, requesting legal action against Rajab

Lahore: A local court in Lahore has ordered the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to take legal action against YouTuber Rajab Butt on charges of blasphemy.
Lahore Additional Sessions Judge Shafqat Shahbaz Raja issued a written decision on the petition of petitioner Shahzada Adnan.
According to the written decision, the petitioner had applied to register a case on the issue of blasphemy.
According to the court, the petitioner stated that the NCCIA did not act on his request.
After hearing all the arguments and reviewing the evidence, the court issued a written decision and ordered the NCCIA to take legal action against YouTuber Rajab Butt.
The petitioner filed an application in the court in July, requesting legal action against Rajab Butt.
Earlier, a case was registered against YouTuber Rajab Butt under cybercrime laws in March.
The case alleged that Rajab Butt had ‘hurt religious sentiments’ at the time of launching his perfume brand and allegedly mocked Pakistan’s blasphemy law.
After the case was filed against him, Rajab had also announced to discontinue the perfume brand and had gone abroad for some time, and now the court has ordered action against him under the law.
Rajab Butt has also been summoned by the NCCIA in connection with the promotion of a gambling app. He is accused of promoting gambling applications on social media like Ducky Bhai.
