Singer Ali Zafar announces fundraising concert for flood victims
Disaster has claimed more than a thousand lives, displaced millions, and destroyed vast tracts of standing crops

Lahore: Renowned singer Ali Zafar has announced a special fundraising concert in Lahore to support the victims of the devastating floods.
This year’s unprecedented floods have wreaked havoc across the country, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Punjab among the hardest-hit regions, while the threat has now extended to Sindh.
The disaster has claimed more than a thousand lives, displaced millions, and destroyed vast tracts of standing crops.
While relief organisations remain actively engaged in providing assistance, prominent figures from the entertainment industry have also stepped forward to support affected families.
In a video message on Instagram, Ali Zafar revealed that he will be hosting a special fundraising concert on 27 September at the Alhamra Cultural Complex in Lahore.
He explained that proceeds from the concert will be channelled through the Ali Zafar Foundation to provide relief and rehabilitation for flood victims. The event, set to begin at 7 p.m., aims to support thousands of families who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and basic necessities in this natural disaster.
Ali Zafar also hinted at surprise performances by other acclaimed artists, whose names will be announced at a later stage.
He further stressed that flood victims need our support now more than ever, having lost their life savings in the deluge. “It is imperative,” he added, “that each of us helps in whatever capacity we can.”
