Lahore: Punjab government has imposed smart lockdown in selective districts to control the fourth wave of coronavirus.


According to details, the provincial government of Punjab has tightened restriction in four cities of Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad from today.
All indoor marriage ceremonies have been banned while 300 guests are allowed in outdoor marriage ceremonies.
Moreover, all the indoor events including religious and cultural have been banned.
Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care Sara Aslam has issued an amended notification in this regard.
The district administration and the police will work together to ensure the implementation of these Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Pakistan has reported a share surge in Covid-19 deaths as threat of delta variant looms large in Pakistan.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,040 cases of coronavirus were reported while 53 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,918.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,071,620.
As many as 964,404 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,805 critical cases.
