Kathmandu: Sajid Ali Sadpara, son of late Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara experienced a severe nervous breakdown during an expedition of world's highest mountain Mount Everest.
Sadpara is in Nepal as part of a team of climbers that includes French mountaineer Marc Batard and his son along with seasoned Nepalese climber Pasang Nuru Sharpa.
The purpose of the expedition was to explore a new, 'safer' route from the base camp of Everest to Camp I and Camp II.
The incident occurred Tuesday, when the climber was rescued during a campaign to search a safer route at the world’s tallest peak.
Local climbers recognized him with the help of his passport. He was rescued after the climbers tied him up to transport him back to the base camp safely.
A video clip has been taking rounds on social media showing Sadpara tied up in ropes. A man then helps the ailing climber to drink water while cheering him up following the fatal incident.
