The event was attended by the President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashif Anwar, provincial minister Wahab Riaz, CEO Brandhub Zeshan Hashmi, Khawaja Shahzeb Akram and hundreds of visitors.
The main objective of the Pakistan Shopping Festival was to promote trade and economic activities in Pakistan. More than 100 stalls of renowned business groups displayed their products at the event. The LCCI President Kashif Anwar emphasized that trade fairs and exhibitions should be used as a tool for the growth of Pakistan's exports. He also stated that the government should support the private sector in organizing trade fairs and exhibitions in the country.
According to Kashif Anwar, trade fairs and exhibitions are a means of introducing vendors to buyers, paving the way for collaborations, increasing exports and bringing much-needed foreign exchange to the country. Although the interest of the private sector in holding exhibitions is growing, much work needs to be done to become on par with other countries.
LCCI President Kashif Anwar highlighted that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the pioneer and leading chamber in serving the business community and conducting its practices in a professional manner. In collaboration with Brand Hub, LCCI management took the lead in organizing the Pakistan Shopping Festival from April 14th-16th, 2023 at Expo Centre, Lahore. The purpose of the event was to create a soft image of Pakistan, encourage entrepreneurs, and strengthen the liaison among the business community by generating various activities.
