The Banking Court [offences] has directed the PTI president to submit Rs500,000 as surety bond against his bail in the case.

Lahore: A local court on Tuesday allowed bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in a case registered against him by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) under charges of money laundering.
Banking Court [offences] Judge Aslam Gondal passed the orders and directed the PTI president to submit Rs500,000 as surety bond.
The judge snubbed the FIA for their uncooperative behavior, as they failed to submit the record despite the court's order.
The FIA had previously charged both Elahi and his son with money laundering and suspicious transactions on June 20. Elahi was arrested the following day and subsequently sent to jail for a 14-day judicial remand.
It is worth mentioning that Elahi had faced initial arrest on June 1 in a corruption case, which occurred amid PTI's crackdown following the protests on May 9. He had been rearrested multiple times thereafter, including in relation to the two money laundering cases.
During the bail plea hearing in the Lahore High Court, the PTI president had appealed for a similar bail treatment as that given to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
