The reference targeting Sikandar Sultan Raja and the election commission members will be filed in the judicial commission

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday assigned Barrister Ali Zafar the task of drafting a reference against the chief election commissioner and all members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The reference targeting Sikandar Sultan Raja and the election commission members would be filed in the judicial commission.
PTI accused the chief election commissioner of undermining its mandate during the general elections held on February 8.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has faced intense criticism following a Supreme Court verdict on reserved seats.
Previously, a complaint was lodged against the chief election commissioner with the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
This complaint against Sikandar Sultan Raja alleges failure to fulfill constitutional duties, usurping PTI's mandate, and non-compliance with court rulings.
The complaint also references a news conference by former Rawalpindi commissioner Liaquat Chattha, who accused the chief election commissioner of overseeing electoral rigging in the Rawalpindi district by reallocating 70,000 votes from PTI candidates to those of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Besides it, the complaint states that the chief election commissioner deprived PTI of its iconic bat symbol, impacting over 120 million voters.
PTI repeatedly called for the resignation of the chief election commissioner and the election commission members.
