PTI allowed power show in Islamabad on Aug 22
The court stated that after August 20, you can protest at any place
Islamabad: The State Council informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that the district administration has allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally in Islamabad on August 22.
The case was heard on PTI’s appeal for not allowing the rally and contempt of court. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the case where PTI's lawyer appeared before the court.
He said that he applied on July 22 to protest on July 26. The court inquired as to which decision is contempt of court. The State Council said that they passed the orders.
The court stated that after August 20, you can protest at any place. The court told the PTI lawyer that contempt of court does not apply to this, the judge sent the application to you.
The court added that Faizabad was blocked which is disadvantaging people. A complete ban should be imposed on the protest at D-Chowk, how many people died in the ambulance in the previous Faizabad sit-in?
It was also stated by the court that the ruling party will ask for permission, you will allow it easily. Only this cannot happen, they are in opposition, did you allow the protest in the park?
