Chief Justice asks can the FIA handle this case, or should we involve another agency

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) expressed frustration with the Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) handling of the investigation into a fake video targeting Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari.
During the hearing on Thursday, LHC Chief Justice Aliya Neelum questioned the effectiveness of the FIA’s investigation, asking, "Can the FIA handle this case, or should we involve another agency? We’ve been waiting for progress, but the responses have been unsatisfactory."
The chief justice also criticized the FIA’s failed raid at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, where they were searching for the suspect, Falak Javed.
Federal government lawyer Asad Bajwa told the court that a notice had been sent to Falak Javed's home. However, the chief justice expressed doubts about the FIA's methods and whether there had been any leaks of information prior to the raid.
She raised concerns about the transparency of the investigation and suggested that the FIA’s shortcomings might have undermined their efforts. The chief justice's dissatisfaction was evident as she remarked that such issues often lead people to prefer reconciliation over pursuing legal action.
