Islamabad: Pakistan achieved a per capita GDP of $1,680 in FY2024, with projections for FY2025 estimating growth to $2,405, showcasing economic recovery and resilience.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir record per capita incomes of $1,550 and $1,730, reflecting Pakistan’s focus on balanced regional development.
India’s regional disparities reveal stark contrasts, with southern states reporting $3,421 per capita income while Hindutva-dominated northern regions report only $813.
According to the UNDP and Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative, India faces the highest global poverty rate, with 234 million people below the poverty line.
Youth unemployment in India reached alarming levels, with the International Labour Organization reporting a rise from 35.2 percent to 65.7 percent.
