DG ISPR rebuffs Indian Army Chief's claim of LOC ceasefire
No side should misconstrue it as their strength or other's weakness.
Rawalpindi: Directorate General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has rebuffed the statement of Indian Army Chief regarding ceasefire on Line of Control (LoC), terming it ‘misleading’.
On army media wing’s official twitter handle, the DG ISPR has categorically rejected the statement of Indian Army Chief Chief General M M Naravane that LOC ceasefire is holding because they negotiated from position of strength.
The DG ISPR further said that the ceasefire was agreed due to Pakistan's concerns for safety of people of Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control.
He further added that no side should misconstrue it as their strength or other's weakness.

Earlier, security forces have conducted an intelligence-based operation in Ghulam Khan Khel area of North Waziristan district, on reports of a terrorists' hideout in the area.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), large quantity of weapons, ammunition and Improvised Explosive Devices were recovered from the terrorists' hide during the operation.
The recovered weapons and ammunition include sub-machine guns, hand grenades, RPG-7 rockets, material used in preparation of IEDs, communication equipment and hundreds of multiple caliber rounds.
