An online fraud related to digital currency Bitcoin has been uncovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to the details, Millions of rupees were looted from the individuals in lieu of capitalising in digital currency in the province. Whereas scammers after receiving money from users block them. Many companies have been exposed which are operating this illicit conning business.
A victim talking to a local news outlet said that initially Rs5,000 was collected from him but later more money was demanded for profit. Whereas hundreds of victims of looting in the name of investing in digital currency have come to light in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has proceeded on the multiple complaints of looting in the name of digital currency and directed the people to be vigilant.
KP Chief Minister Advisor on Information Technology (IT) Ziaullah Bangash cautioned that no one should invest money until the government makes an announcement. Further KP is soon enacting legislation for online business whereas Bitcoin mining business will be allowed after legislation.
