Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday if his predecessor Sheikh Rashid does not withdraws his statement about PTI long march taking a bloody turn, he will not be allowed to even leave his house.

Addressing the media after appearing in the anti-narcotics court, the interior minister said that he would not allow the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers and leaders to march if they did not assure the government that they would remain peaceful.

The federal minister said that Usman Buzdar was the Punjab chief minister only in name, and actually, it was Farah Gogi, a friend of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, who would call the shots in the province.

He accused the friend of the former first lady of Pakistan of minting billions of rupees through the transfers and postings of government officials. “PTI chairman Imran and his party leaders are presently running ‘Save Gogi Campaign’,” Sanaullah said, and alleged that Imran had introduced the ‘amnesty scheme’ only to save his wife’s friend Farah.

He claimed that Farah Gogi transferred one billion rupees abroad.

“The PTI government booked its opponents in ‘false and fabricated’ cases. If the last government had proofs that I was involved in the murder of some people, I should have been booked in cases of that particular offence rather than cases of drugs, with which I have nothing to do,” he added.

"You [Khan] had put NAB and anti-corruption behind me for one year and when you failed to find anything, you planted this fake [narcotics] case against me."

Sanaullah was arrested in July 2019 after the ANF claimed to have seized drugs from his personal vehicle. He was accused of having ties with drug traffickers in Lahore.
