Govt decides to not stop PTI’s long march
The government will not interrupt the PTI march if it’s peaceful.
Islamabad: The federal government has decided not to interrupt the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s long march, scheduled on May 25, if it is kept peaceful.
According to details, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz govt and its allies have decided to give permission to the long march under the ambit of the constitution, it is said that Pakistan Peoples Party chief Asif Ali Zardari played a pivotal role in bringing consensus on this decision.
Meanwhile, the government has decided to limit the long march to Srinagar Highway, however, if it proceeds ahead the government will utilize all its constitutional options. More discussions in this regard with allies are expected in today’s meeting between government allies.
Former prime minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif will be present at today’s consultative session through video link, along with Hamza Shehbaz and Maryam Nawaz.
Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan has announced that they would hold a Long March on Islamabad on May 25. He appealed to the nation and all walks of life to join the march.
He further said that he was inviting the whole nation including youth, students, women, businessmen, ex-servicemen and all walks of life to join the Azadi March to save Pakistan.
