Two injured in Karachi scrap godown blast

Karachi: In an unfortunate incident, two people including a woman sustained injuries due to a blast in scrap godown in Ghani Chowrangi, Karachi, GNN reported Thursday.

Police and rescue teams rushed the site soon after getting the information and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital Karachi for first aid.

It is being reported that scrap was being crushed in the godown when an electronic device exploded following a hammer strike.

However, the actual nature of the explosion is unknown.

In the meantime, police cordoned off the area and an investigation is underway.
