Govt to start free wheat flour distribution from tomorrow
The official sources say that the eligible people will be able to get flour from 40 outlets of the Utility Stores.
Islamabad: As many as 185,000 needy families of Islamabad will receive free wheat flour from Saturday as part of an initiative to provide relief to inflation-hit people during Holy month of Ramadan.
It was decided during a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the chair with regards to Ramadan Package for Islamabad Capital Territory as part of his pro-poor initiative in Islamabad on Friday.
During the meeting, he said the government was striving to provide maximum possible relief to the people amid inflation. It is pertinent to mention here that the eligible people would be able to get flour from 40 outlets of the Utility Stores.
The people have been asked to check their eligibility for the free flour by sending an SMS containing their CNIC number to 8717 helpline of the Benazir Income Support Program as the data has been linked with the BISP.
