Fawad Chaudhary says the discussions around judicial benches were not the public's issues, and that the coalition government was using these issues to distract the public from more pressing matters.

Lahore: Fawad Chaudhry, the Senior Vice-President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emphasized the need for dialogue to address various issues, including general elections.
Fawad Chaudhary called for the government, and the establishment to come together and establish the rules of the game regarding the elections. In other words, he was suggesting that all stakeholders should sit together and make rules to ensure that the election process is transparent, fair, and free of any interference.
Chaudhry criticized the coalition government for confusing the public on matters of the judiciary. He stated that discussions around judicial benches were not the public's issues, and that the coalition government was using these issues to distract the public from more pressing matters. He stressed that elections were the solution to the problems faced by Pakistanis, and that the country was being pushed towards a political crisis.
Chaudhry attributed the demand for the chief justice's resignation to an attempt to divert attention from other matters. He criticized the present leadership for bringing Pakistan to this point, suggesting that they were responsible for the country's current state of affairs.
Chaudhry also shared his views on Supreme Court Judge Justice Athar Minallah. He said that his party respected all judges of the apex court, including Justice Minallah. Justice Minallah had clarified that he had not recused himself from the case regarding the Punjab polls and agreed with Justice Yahya Afridi's note on the dismissal of the petition.
In his detailed order regarding the SC's verdict on Punjab polls, Justice Minallah stated that the case was dismissed by 4 to 3 and clarified that "he had not recused nor had any reason to dissociate himself" from the case. He also stated that he agreed with Justice Yahya Afridi's note on the dismissal of the petition and his reasoning in the short order was "persuasive," therefore he had no "hesitation in concurring with the decision."
