Not interested in any political party: Sports Minister Wahab Riaz
“My opinion of becoming the Sports Minister was for the betterment of sports,” Riaz added.
Lahore: Punjab's Caretaker Sports Minister and Pakistani cricketer Wahab Riaz said: “I do not have to be associated with any political party nor I have interest in any party”.
Speaking in an interview, Wahab Riaz said that the current political situation in Pakistan has always been the same, there is nothing new in it.
Wahab stated that he has nothing to do with the current political situation as he is part of caretaker setup which has tenure of three months only, therefore they will do whatever they can.
Responding to the question regarding contact with former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the sports minister said: “I have never spoken to Imran Khan in my life”.
Regarding social media trolling on becoming the sports minister said that many people criticized him, some also had good to say about him, everyone has its own opinion and I respect everyone.
“My opinion of becoming the Sports Minister was for the betterment of sports,” Riaz added.
