According to CAA spokesperson, the woman had lodged a complaint about her bag being left behind at the airport parking lot number 12. Among the missing items were six tola gold jewelry and 1100 UK pounds.
The officials said that the female passenger had taken an Etihad Airways flight from Manchester to Islamabad where she forgot her handbag.
The complaint cell detected the passenger who picked up the bag from the parking lot through Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage. The passenger carrying the bag—a resident of Mansehra—had reached Islamabad from Jeddah by Umrah flight.
The CAA spokesperson stated that upon being contacted by the CAA vigilance staff, the passenger delivered the luggage worth over Rs1.5 million to the airport, after which it was handed over to the female passenger in the presence of her husband at the airport.
