Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday halted the services of Station House Officer (SHO) involved in the arrest of senior journalist and anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan, GNN reported.
According to details, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Ameer Bhatti heard the case of journalist Imran Riaz’s release and issued the notice of contempt of court to the SHO and summoned a reply in seven days.
Chief Justice addressed the District Police Officer (DPO) stating that what should be done to you.
Court also inquired DPO that who asked him to issue the orders to arrest anchorperson Imran Riaz.
Ameer Bhatti has also summoned the relevant record from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sialkot and adjourned to hearing of the case till 1:00pm.
