Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi expresses unwavering support for Imran Khan
The PTI President says Imran Khan fulfilled the promises he made to them and it is now their responsibility to stand by him in challenging times.
Lahore: Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, who recently joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after leaving the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), expressed his unwavering support for Imran Khan in a public statement, likening his allegiance to a steadfast wall.
The reports suggested that Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain and his son had a meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain today. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain warmly welcomed his brother Wajahat Hussain, saying, "Welcome to the Muslim League House."
Following this, speculations arose regarding an impending significant announcement by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
In a video statement, Pervaiz Elahi emphasized that ultimate power is bestowed by Allah, not by humans. He clarified that he harbored no opposition towards Wajahat's decision, as it was made based on his personal circumstances. He further assured his family that there was no cause for distress regarding Wajahat's choice.
Regarding his stance, Pervaiz Elahi clarified, "Munis and I stand with Imran Khan, but our support does not equate to an endorsement of all his policies. The military is an institution close to us, and any misunderstandings should be treated as separate matters. We consistently strive for positive relations with the military and establishment."
Pervaiz Elahi added, "Imran Khan has fulfilled the promises he made to us. It is now our responsibility to stand by him in challenging times."
