Terrorist attack on school claims 25 lives
25 bodies have been recovered from a school in Uganda.
Mpondwe: Ugandan police have revealed that militants associated with the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) carried out an attack on a school near the Uganda-DRC border in western Uganda, resulting in the deaths of 25 individuals.
According to a local police report, members of the ADF, a group pledged to the Islamic State, targeted the Lhubiriha Secondary School in the town of Mpondwe.
They set fire to a hostel and looted food supplies.
As per the latest information provided by the police, the bodies of 25 victims have been recovered from the school premises and transferred to Bwera Hospital.
Additionally, eight injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, with their conditions being described as critical.
However, it has not been disclosed how many of the deceased were schoolchildren.
