Karachi: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, has called for the expulsion of Sweden's ambassador in response to the desecration of the Holy Quran in the country.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem ur Rahman expressed strong condemnation of the disrespectful incident in Sweden, emphasizing the need for international legislation at the United Nations level to address the desecration of the Holy Quran.
He stated that Muslims respect people of all religions and that Islam holds reverence for all other faiths.
Naeem further emphasized that religion cannot be imposed forcefully and that nothing is more sacred to Muslims than the Holy Quran.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rahman demanded the Swedish government to dismiss its ambassador, warning the Western world that the Quran is a holy book and that Muslims are ready to sacrifice their lives for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Quran.
He stressed that Sweden should not engage in blasphemy, and Jamaat-e-Islami strongly condemns the incident and will stage protests.
