Inflation rate rise by 3.73% this week
According to the Bureau of Statistics, 20 items became expensive, while the price of seven items were decreased this week.
Islamabad: The rate of inflation in the country has increased by 3.73 percent this week making the rate of inflation to settle at as high as 29.21 percent.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, 20 items became expensive, while the price of seven items were decreased this week, while the prices of 24 items remained stable.
The statistics issued by the bureau told that the prices of chillies, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, Liquified Natural Gas (LPG) and electricity have increased.
Among the items that have recorded an increase in prices, chillies are 28.98%, tomatoes are 19.71%, eggs are 4.77%, garlic by 3.09 percent, onion by 2.58 percent, jaggery by 2.18 percent, potato by 2.09 percent, LPG by 4.12%, and electricity by 20.98 per cent.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, the price of bananas decreased by 5.36%, sugar by 1.15%, ghee by 0.93%, edible oil by 0.89%, wheat flour by 0.17% and pulses by 0.16%.
