Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 131 deaths in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,112 cases of coronavirus were reported while 131 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 17,811.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 820,823.
As many as 711,465 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,360 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 301,114 in the province with 8,410 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 282,445 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,633.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 117,557 in the province with 3,274 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 22,278 confirmed cases while 234 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 17,057 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 475. On the other hand, there are 5,305 cases in GB with 106 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 75,067 cases in the capital city while 679 people have lost their lives.
