‘New record’; Pakistan administers more than 0.2 million Covid-19 vaccines in one day
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that Pakistan vaccinated over 200,000 people against Covid-19 in one day, which is the highest number of people inoculated in 24 hours in the country.
The news was shared by Asad Umar, who also heads the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
The minister stated that there has been an increase in the registration for the coronavirus jabs and so far more than 500,000 people have registered for the vaccine.
He urged everyone aged above 40 to register themselves for the coronavirus vaccination.

Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,113 cases of coronavirus were reported while 119 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,429.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 841,636.
As many as 738,727 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,211 critical cases.
