FIA conducted 440 operations and closed 44 shops involved in illegal currency exchange: FIA Director.


Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has conducted 440 operations against illegal currency exchanges in various districts of the province.
As reported by the Director of FIA, PSP Mohsin Hassan Butt, authorities have conducted 440 operations from the last year till now.
Resulting in the shutting down of 44 shops while 519 people were detained and 18 million dollars were recovered from them.
The FIA officials arrested 44 people and registered cases against them in the last 3 months.
The director reported that FIA has made contacts with Interpol to catch the accused involved in illegal currency exchanges in foreign countries.
