President Arif Alvi expresses dismay that under developed countries are investing hefty resources in Human Development but simultaneously they are facing the challenging issue of brain drain.


Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday termed uniform progress across the globe as inevitable to mitigate sufferings of the developing countries.
Addressing a ceremony of Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad on Thursday, he expressed dismay that under developed countries are investing hefty resources in Human Development but simultaneously they are facing the challenging issue of brain drain.
Highlighting the pursuits of uniform progress, the President said it will not only curb the pressure of immigration in Europe and other advanced nations but people will be able to contribute their share in the process of progress within their native countries.
He also termed wars, conflict and agitation among the nation as the major obstacle in the journey of progress and development.
Underscoring the potential of Pakistan in trade and investment, he said Pakistan does not want aid but seeks trade with international world. He demanded economically strong countries to share the technology with Pakistan.
The President also urged the businessmen to employ their own family- women in their businesses as it will ensure the Harassment free environment for them. He further stressed to take special attention towards the Persons with Disabilities and create job opportunities for them.
