Domestic violence survivor Rizwana begins to walk
Professor Judet Saleem reports that Rizwana has commenced walking, marking the completion of 90% of her treatment.
Lahore: In a heartening development, Rizwana, a survivor of domestic violence who has been receiving treatment at General Hospital for the past three months, has taken her first steps on the path to recovery.
Professor Judet Saleem, the head of the medical board overseeing Rizwana's treatment, shared this promising update, stating that approximately 90% of Rizwana's treatment has been successfully completed, and she has now regained the ability to walk.
Despite substantial healing of her injuries, Professor Judet Saleem mentioned that Rizwana's arm surgery has not yet been performed, as the orthopedic team has not provided a scheduled date for the procedure.
Looking ahead, it is expected that Rizwana will soon be discharged from the hospital.
Upon her release, arrangements will be made to ensure her continued care and rehabilitation in Lahore.
