Mercury to rise in Karachi over weekend
Karachi: Temperatures in the coastal city are set to rise over the weekend while many other parts of the country enjoy respite from the heat.
From May 15 to May 17, Karachi may see the temperature fluctuate between 40 C and 42 C. Winds from the northeast are expected to blow during the day.
The Met department has also predicted that high velocity winds are also a possibility over the coming weekend.
Most of the plains and northern areas in the country are experiencing rains and cloudy weather, providing a welcome break from the heat. On Thursday Lahore had a morning heavy downpour preceded by showers on the previous night.
