He stated that the arrests were made for PTI holding the convention without permission.


Multan: The position of police regarding the raid and arrests that took place during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) workers' convention at Javed Hashmi's residence in Multan has come out.
Central Police Office (CPO) Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar said that Tehreek-e-Insaaf had not asked permission for any workers' convention as it is necessary to take prior permission for conventions and meetings under Article-144 imposed throughout Punjab.
He stated that the arrests were made for PTI holding the convention without permission.

It is pertinent to note that the senior politician Javed Hashmi had alleged that a workers' convention was organized by PTI at his residence in Multan where the police raided and arrested more than 70 people.
According to Javed, the police also arrested his son-in-law Zahid Behar Hashmi who is PTI candidate and the house servants and the doors of the house were also broken.
