Power tariff increases by Rs4.56 per unit
Electricity consumers will have to make additional payments in their February bills.
Islamabad: The cost of electricity has been increased by Rs4.56 per unit for which the notification has been issued by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
According to the notification, the price of electricity has been increased due to the December Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA).While the prices will be applicable only for one month.
Due to the high cost of electricity, there will be an additional burden of 39.80 billion rupees on the consumers.
NEPRA said in the notification that the hike will not be applicable to K-Electric and Lifeline customers.
Electricity consumers will have to make additional payments in their February bills.
It is pertinent to note that in the November monthly adjustment, electricity was increased by Rs4.13 per unit.
